We own many farms throughout Moray, Aberdeenshire and the Highlands, which we manage and farm ourselves. We grow a large area of malting barley which is then used by the distilleries to make whisky. We also spread pot-ale from the distilleries on to our land which helps the crops and reduces the reliance on man-made fertilisers which in turn is better for the environment.
We carry out all of the farming work ourselves, including sowing and combining, along with our hardworking staff. The only part of the farming process which is carried out by a contractor is the spraying.
The photos below relate to our farming operation.
